The CLI release matrix builds these archives. The Windows ARM64 and Linux GNU archives will become available in the first release containing the expanded matrix; existing releases keep their original assets.
| System | CPU | Rust target | Archive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Linux, static musl | x86-64 | x86_64-unknown-linux-musl | .tar.gz |
| Linux, static musl | ARM64 | aarch64-unknown-linux-musl | .tar.gz |
| Linux, glibc | x86-64 | x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu | .tar.gz |
| Linux, glibc | ARM64 | aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu | .tar.gz |
| macOS | Intel | x86_64-apple-darwin | .tar.gz |
| macOS | Apple Silicon | aarch64-apple-darwin | .tar.gz |
| Windows | x86-64 | x86_64-pc-windows-msvc | .zip |
| Windows | ARM64 | aarch64-pc-windows-msvc | .zip |
Each archive is named tungsten-<version>-<target> with the extension above.
Release assets include checksums and build provenance.
The Unix installer automatically selects the CPU and system. On Linux it uses the static musl archive by default, including on Alpine. To select glibc:
TUNGSTEN_LIBC=gnu sh install.sh --version vX.Y.Z
The glibc builds are tested on Ubuntu 22.04 for x86-64 (glibc 2.35) and Ubuntu
24.04 for ARM64 (glibc 2.39). Use musl for older glibc systems. Leave
TUNGSTEN_LIBC unset on macOS. The Windows PowerShell installer
selects x86-64 or ARM64 automatically.
ARMv7, RISC-V, FreeBSD and Android/Termux do not yet have validated CLI release archives. The CLI platform list is separate from the runtimes supported by SDKs it generates.
